In-seat power and standard Delta IFE. I fly this plane a lot to and from amsterdam. I have been in many seats in this plane. In the back, it can be noisy during takeoff, and it gets cold during flight. Towards the dront it is warm in flight and less noisy. The seats are comfortable, the IFE is not bad, i would prefer to sit towards the front for a better experience.
Flying in 9C, im not sure why this seat is marked as yellow - it has the least foot traffic in flight, gets served first and allows maximum rest. Boarding on this plane is usually through door 2 which is behind row 9 so you will be first off the plane. The is a great plane to fly on in business class on Delta! The lie-flat seats are so narrow that you can barely turn to either side, more coffin-like. A pitiful presentation for business class. I will fly any other business class out of Logan henceforth.
However the recline of this seat may be less than preceding rows. Row 15 is a standard economy row. Terrible plane. Noisy, cold, no space for legs, poor video system which was hanging up, poor movies selection.
Extremely cold on row Flightattendant said that is normal, do dress up! This was my first Delta One long-haul, and I have to say that the seat is is wonderful, the AVOD more than adequate and the cabin very quiet.
There wasn't much space for storing a few things I wanted to keep at hand, but I managed. I wish that meal service was from the front instead of the back, however. A bit unnerving to have plates suddenly appear from behind my left shoulder. Overall, a very comfortable journey, though. Even with no window, this is a very comfortable seat. The flight was a day time flight, so everyone had their window shades down, so no problem with no window right next to me there is a window a few inches ahead of the seat, so could still see outside.
Economy Comfort is worth the extra money for two tall people like we are as the Economy seats we had on the trip over were horrible. This was a nice change and since the plane was new, made for a pleasant flight.
Because the tail of the plane narrows, thus seat sticks out in the aisle -a lot! On the transpacific flight, the cart hit ny seat over 25 times. No joke. Nice for leg room awful fir comfort. Seat very comfortable, lots of room for an internation flight. The seat was very cramped and it was not easy to get a rest. Seat 2J, Atlanta-Madrid, excellent flight, lay-out , fully flat bed, good food, attentive service.
Enjoyed very much my flights Madrid-Atlanta-Madrid. I'll definitely fly Delta One again. I've flown in this seat a couple of times. The first time I wasn't bothered at all by the noise from the galley but this time around it bothered quite a lot, lots of banging and crashing all the time. There is little storage around the seat which is irritating because you have to keep constantly rearranging items on your armrest.
IFE is excellent, food was ok although they did not have my first choice which is poor for what's supposed to be a premium service. Not a confortable flight. They have reduced the seat size and leg space for all economy seats. Delta's local flights are much more comfortable. The food provided from rome to atlanta was no good either. Unusual choices of snacks. For a flight that is 11 hours long, delta should provide 2 meals and a snack.
I was starving by the time they landed especially because the 1 snack they provided was horrific. I would not travel delta internationally again. Much better choosing virgin atlantic, qatar, emirates.
My husband and I found these seats to be quite comfortable and the food and service were excellent. I was able to sleep on my side, as the seat was truly a flat bed. I also liked that this plane still has individual air vents. I've heard A's have tedious IFE. Beware of a long flight with limited entertainment. The screens were nice and i never felt cramped. Plus the economy seats had power ports, it was not a bad flight. Sat in this seat for flight from JFK to Athens.
It is one seat from the toilet but not too bad. My only issue was that the USB socket was not working so I could not charge my phone or other mobile devices. We were happy with these seats. They are reasonably comfortable with easy access on and off the plane. Decent width and pitch. Proximity to galley wasn't a problem and we were among the first for food and beverage service.
Very comfotable and private seats. Unfortunately the service was not that good. Probably the flight attendant did have an off day. The food was excellent and for sure we will use Delta again as long as the seat configuration will be the same as on this flight.
The outboard seats are private, in your own little space. IFE and service great as usual. Nice to lay down but not particularly comfortable. The vinyl is hot - doesn't breathe. No storage bins at all. These must be the worst business class seats imaginable. Lumpy, narrow and simply uncomfortable.
I will make a point of using only KLM or other airlines and their planes. The Airbus configured recently by Delta is just very uncomfortable. Be aware, armrest its fixed, doesnt go up. Can't comment on the sleeping capabilities because it was a daytime flight. Was an amazing seating experience for a domestic flight during the day though. Lots of space and seat will adjust to about any position you prefer, down to being completely flat.
I've seen comments on lack of space when the meal is served, but on comparable domestic runs, you would't get that anyway. Screen is very large and responsive. Great Plane! In seat entertainment, with charging station. The Delta crew was Great!! Seats were comfortable, leg room was decent. I'm 6'2 Best way to get to Hawaii from the east coast. I wasn't bothered by the proximity to the galley at all. Overall a great experience, excellent food and service. Other than that it was fine and about as comfortable as it gets in economy class these days.
I appreciated the 18" wide seats. Seat was comfortable, well-maintained. I find this aircraft has a more comfortable economy environment compared to B or B, which feel more cramped. The seat is wider too. This Economy Comfort seat was very nice, the extra legroom was well worth the additional price and the lack of a window was not an issue. Of course those seats are nice. This plane does not offer comfortable seating for economy. You are squeezed in like sardines.
Even the windows seem tiny for such a large plane. The Boeing is much more comfortable. I will try avoiding this plane with future over seas flights!! Purchased my ticket thru Delta but Air France operated my outbound. AF seats were awful. Delta has done a great job on their economy class seats.
Looks to me that premium economy seats on Delta are not worth the extra charge. They look very similar to the economy seats. Really good legroom for a standard economy seat. I looked at the premium economy seats while getting on and off the plane, and doesn't look to be worth the increase in cost for those. Very similar legroom. Given it's proximity to the emergency exit, it can also be pretty cold. The extra legroom was very nice.
I am 6'2" and found the seats comfortable for economy. Both seat configurations were similar, but the seat angled toward the aircraft's fuselage and away from the aisle made this and all other Business seats exceedingly private, especially the seats along the fuselages inasmuch as they're single seats.
Unless one is claustrophobic, seats 2A and 2J compare favorably to some First Class open-suite configurations. Additionally, the service, food and crew competence was exemplary. Very dirty flight. Crumbs on the floor, between the cracks in the seats, between the seats. The air stinks. The TV screen is dirty. I had to clean it. This seat was great even with the pod feature, as it was easy to sleep, something I've rarely been able to do on an airplane.
The A may become my favorite. The crew couldn't have been nicer and the food was good. Am flying home on the and will comment in comparison, but don't think that it will compare to the airbus. The seats were not like a luxury mattress, but very comfortable, and we stretched out easily, and slept like a baby.
The Delta staff was so helpful and friendly, and, we thought the food was very good. For us, too much food was given to use on the hour flight. We loved this Airbus plane and the configuration. This seat was so comfortable for some one of my size 6'3.
Since the galley is behind us there wasn't any noise from the area ahead of us and slept like a baby after we took off from BCN on our way to JFK. What I couldn't believe was the amount of time we had to wait for our luggage in JFK since business class is supposed to have it luggage first.. I chose Delta for my holiday trip to US. I was on seat 7J. Very nice service,good food and comfortable seat. Not as good as it sounds. Yes you have leg room as you a beside the door.
However be warned, people seem to think as there is a bit of space here it is fine to do Exercises on long haul flights right in front of you - you may close your eyes only to wake up with a butt in your face!. Also to your right you have the 4 seats that have the wall to hang cots on - so be warned you may end up with two screaming babies, and a very inappropriate exerciser all in one flight, this isn't to forget you get the queuing for the toilets as 4 of the aircraft's toilets are right there.
Oh and remember just in case the steward doesn't, the emergency exits do have heaters in them for these seats, as with out them, you are going to feel a draft. Never ever again. Return flight no problem with normal seat, plenty of space for legs. The comment about 38G is correct; the hostess told me to move into the center seats to keep from being bumped by the carts.
IN addition, none of the armrests in this row can be raised, so it's no good for stretching out even if you have all the seats. On flights that require a relief pilot, 9A is the seat that is used. When in use, it is enclosed by curtains for privacy. Great business seats, flew SEA-AMS a couple of times last year and always chose the window seats facing Greenland, left side towards Europe, right side coming back.
I'm 6 2 and I fit just fine in flat bed position, very nice service, very good food, attentive crew. This seat was very comfortable due to the fact it was in Economy Comfort. It offered extra inches of legroom and more recline. If you are traveling alone this is 26J is a great seat.
Being inside blocks you from the people moving around, but close to the bathroom. Also and most important the seat does recline and there is room behind your seat for extra storage. The seats also have pockets on the back so you can put all those magazines out of your way. Having flown all of Delta's Business Elite configurations except for the , I believe I can comfortably say this is one of the nicest seats I've ever sat in.
Decent width, big tv, and a full long bed. At 5'9 I had close to a foot to spare. Excellent food and beverage service. Only falls short of Delta's upper deck biz elite. A couple of things Also, our flight arrived in Milan at the same time as an Air China from Shanghai and another jumbo from Bangkok.
Being in row 12 got put us in a MUCH better position at immigration. Seat width is the same as all economy, but legroom much better. We were in 12 A and B Food, drink etc the same as economy. Economy Comfort Row 10 has adequate legroom, 2 window views and in-seat video monitors; however, not a desirable seat for long haul and overnight flights due to noise and light from the Business Elite galley located forward of the bulkhead at the L2 door.
Pick a EC row further back if possible. The arrangement means you never have to climb over more than 1 person to get to the aisle and the 2 seats abreast by the windows are great for couples travelling together. The 18" wide seats are about as good as it gets in economy class these days.
Seat pitch is adequate. To be honest the a is my favorite aircraft but also the aircraft was beautiful the seats had OK space in coach Lovely space in Economy comfort and a lovely lay down flat bed seats in first. This seat is right behind the Economy Comfort row that get an additional 3" of recline - right into your space.
Pure torture. This was my first time on a lie-flat Business Elite flight for Delta. My only other comparison is on a United BusinessFirst seat. Service was very good, meals were excellent. Overall, I enjoyed this flight and would definitely choose this flight again. Excellent food and the service was pretty good overall. The flat bed is truly a flat bed and has lots of privacy. One of the better transatlantic flight experiences I have had recently.
Seat 2J and 2A is placed partly behind the closet. This closet is used by the crew during the flight. Proximity is bothersome. Sat in this seat from Seattle to Tokyo, it was great. In my opinion this is probably the best seat in the BusinessElite cabin since there it is technically a bulkhead and offers more privacy. I flew from New York to Athens in this aircraft and it was a very nice experience good food and service was very attentive.
Seat had lots of legroom, the food and entertainment was amazing! Much better that any other airlines "premium economy" ever. One of the best flights I've ever experienced. Seat was incredibly comfortable; soft pillow and duvet blanket were very comfortable as well. One of the best first class meals. Service was very attentive and impeccable.
My Business class seat was great! I have flown on other business class products like Air Canada and Cathay and see this as being much more spacious. The three windows are great and the seat is quite wide and comfortable. The duvet cover and pillow are also nice as well as good service and very good food. Way above the business class of its competitors. If you are keen on leaning against the bulkhead to sleep. Don't book this seat as the point you would lean into is actually a window.
Therefore you cannot lean comforatably. The layout, facing the windows, is much nicer than the and offers more privacy. Very comfortable.
